HSMAI’s Asia Connect to be Held Alongside ITB Asia

HSMAI Asia Pacific’s conference series - Asia Connect - will kick off this year with a two part programme alongside ITB Asia and following the Web In Travel (WIT) conference on the 22nd and 23rd of October at Suntec City in Singapore.

“Selling with Pride, not Price” is the theme of this years’ conference and the key note speech will be delivered by Arthur Kiong, Managing Director - Sales & Marketing, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts.

Bernadette Dennis, the Managing Director of HSMAI Asia Pacific, will deliver the second keynote “Selling in a Buyers’ Market”. She will share her insights into consumer behaviour and how to apply different buying modes as well as different selling modes. Dennis will also introduce a model that will give sales associates useful tools for more successful dynamic selling.

The third part of the first day, “Moving Forward – How to prepare for the New Norm” will feature a popular debate theme from this year, rate parity, along with discussion of topics that cover sales, discounting, rate parity and marketing when the travel market returns.

The second day will feature three case study workshops on discounting, social media and “Breaking Down the Walls and Closing the Customer Loop”.

The Singapore conference will be followed by events in Hong Kong and Phuket, Thailand in November.
