Elizabeth Powell joins BedBank as General Manager

Travel technology company Global BedBank has appointed Fiji-born Elizabeth Powell as General Manager.

Miss Powell has extensive experience in travel technology and hospitality in Australia, Asia, Hawaii and North America. She has a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on international business and a Bachelor of Science in travel industry management, from the University of Hawaii.

Prior to returning from Las Vegas to Fiji to take up an appointment with an accounting firm as Director and tourism and ecommerce advisor, Miss Powell spent the past 20 years in business development roles with US-based companies.

Most recently she led the development of hotel partnerships in US-gaming centers (Nevada, New Jersey and Mississippi) and resort destinations (Hawaii and Mexico) for a global leader in Internet travel sales.

She has also established revenue management and ecommerce divisions in Hawaii hotels and been responsible for Global Distribution Systems account development on the US west coast as well as for hotel development projects in Hawaii and south east Asia (Jakarta, Bali, Guam, and the Philippines).
