Diners Club International has opened 18 new cardholder club lounges at 14 airport locations in the United Kingdom. The addition of these new lounges now brings the total of Diners Club airport lounges to 123 worldwide.

All 18 Diners Club U.K. lounges are currently open and accessible to Diners Club’s more than 6.5 million cardholders at the following airport locations in England: Birmingham; Bristol; Nottingham East Midlands; London Gatwick; London Heathrow; Humberside; Leeds Bradford; Manchester; Newcastle; and Stansted. The remaining new U.K. airport lounge locations include four in Scotland: Aberdeen; Edinburgh; Glasgow; and Inverness.

“The opening of these additional lounges provides us with a tremendous opportunity to offer our Diners Club cardholders even more convenience and value when they travel throughout the U.K.,” said Joe Hurley, deputy president of Diners Club International. “The Diners Club lounge program is another example of our commitment to meeting the needs of cardholders.”

The U.K. airport lounges are managed and staffed by Servisair, a leading service provider of aviation ground services, and feature a range of complimentary snacks, fresh-brewed coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages, as well as television, newspapers, and magazines. In addition, all the U.K. lounges offer telephone and fax services and many also offer Internet access and business desks.

“We understand the importance of providing travelers with a positive ground service experience,” said Darren Harding, vice president business development for Servisair. “Like Diners Club, our objective is to anticipate our customers’ needs and deliver to them a range of services that they have come to look forward to and appreciate.”
