Millennium & Copthorne Hotels
has opened the Copthorne Hotel Qingdao, rebranded from the Hotel Equatorial
Qingdao. The property is the first hotel of the Copthorne brand to join the growing global portfolio of Millennium &
Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) in China.
Copthorne Hotel Qingdao is 60% owned by LKN Investment International
and 40% owned by China Civil Aviation Hua
Dong Administration Authority.
Located to the southeast part of Shandong Province, Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city and
an important city for international trade.
Targeting mid-market and mid-management corporate travelers, MICE and overseas tour groups, the hotel is perfectly positioned amidst the
center of the new commercial district of Qingdao. Copthorne Hotel Qingdao is only 30 minutes drive to the airport and within walking
distance to major commercial centers, provincial government offices and shopping malls.
The hotel lobby and public areas inclusive of all restaurants, function rooms and ballroom were renovated in early 2008. The hotel features
455 well-appointed guest rooms inclusive of 38 Club rooms and 17 suites, which were completely renovated in early 2007. All essential
facilities for the modern day travelers are available at the hotel such as high speed broadband Internet connections, a business center with
secretarial services and a modern health club with an indoor swimming pool. The hotel also extends complimentary car parking for all its

The culinary excellence of Copthorne Hotel Qingdao extends further into China with the premium quality 250-seat Chinese restaurant,
