The five-star Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen, scheduled to open in October 2008, is offering a special introductory rate, representing savings of 50%, until 31 December 2008. Guests can experience Shangri-La’s legendary hospitality starting from RMB1,280 per night for a Deluxe room, single or double occupancy, subject to a 15% service charge and availability.

The hotel is also offering a package specially designed for business travellers. The “B2B Package” features hassle-free arrangements for guests on Shenzhen business trips and includes:

- Deluxe guestroom accommodation with daily breakfast for one person
- A one-way limousine transfer between the hotel and either Hong Kong International Airport or Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport
- Free broadband Internet access
- Laundry allowance of RMB70 per day
- A one-hour traditional Chinese massage

The “B2B Package” starts from RMB2,380 per night and is valid for a minimum two-night stay until 31 December 2009. It is also subject to a 15% service charge and availability.

Futian is the bustling business district of Shenzhen, one of the largest cities in southern China, located adjacent to Hong Kong. The hotel is only a short distance from thriving retail areas and office towers, and just a few minutes’ walk from Shenzhen’s mass transit railway system, which links directly to the border crossing with Hong Kong. It will offer easy access to Shenzhen International Bao’an Airport, the Shekou ferry terminal and the city’s major tourist attractions.

The opening of the 548-room Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen will add a 40-storey luxury building to the city’s skyline. Guestrooms, averaging 45 square metres in size, will feature a design that is both classic and contemporary, while being warm and comfortable.

Café Zen, the hotel’s all-day dining outlet, will offer diners Hong Kong specialties, local favourites, Asian and Western dishes, while the authentic Italian cuisine of the Terra Aqua restaurant and bar, opening later in the year, will be complemented with an extensive collection of vintage wines. Alfresco dining on the terrace will be available for diners in both restaurants. Fook Lam Moon will entice diners with its signature Cantonese cuisine. Drinks and antipasti along with live entertainment will be available to guests in the club-like bar. The Lobby Lounge will provide guests with refreshments throughout the day, including afternoon high tea, in an international ambience.

Guests interested in fitness will be able to make use of the fully equipped health club and outdoor tennis court. The hotel’s spa and 25-meter indoor swimming pool will open in December 2008.
