The Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City has become one of the first hotels in Dubai and the first Crowne Plaza in the world to dedicate all rooms and lobby areas as smoke free environments.

The move to nonsmoking is in-line with the new stance that the Dubai Municipality has adopted towards smoking in public. Last year saw the removal of smoking from shopping malls, as well as restaurants and cafés, a move hailed as a highly beneficial step for public health and safety.

The decision to make Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City a smoke free hotel is a dynamic step forward for the Dubai market, and one which the Crowne Plaza team believe is a move towards a healthier future.

Pascal Eggerstedt, hotel manager of Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City believes that the palpable benefits of the hotel becoming smoke free will make this decision highly popular, “Guests will be provided with fresher and cleaner air in their rooms and public areas, this will be a similar case with all our upholstery and furnishings. We are sincerely proud to be the first hotel in Dubai to make this trend setting decision, one that we feel will soon be emulated across the region.”
