Singapore Airlines to begin Operations from Beijing's New Terminal 3

Singapore Airlines flights will operate from Beijing Capital International Airport’s new Terminal 3 with effect from Wednesday 26 March 2008. The first flights in and out of the new terminal will be SQ812 into Beijing from Singapore at 0720 hrs and SQ811, departing Beijing for Singapore at 0845 hrs.

“Singapore Airlines is pleased to be operating from the new Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3,” said Singapore Airlines General Manager China, Ho Yik Wing.

“The brand new Terminal 3 gives us the opportunity to deliver a superior experience to our customers in a sophisticated international terminal with modern facilities.”

Terminal 3 is located approximately 25km or 30 – 45 minutes’ drive from downtown Beijing City. The new terminal is located approximately 5km away from the current terminals 1 and 2.

Customers can proceed to Check-In Area E for check-In on Singapore Airlines flights. Counters open 3 hours, and close 60 minutes, before flight departure. Customers are advised to check-in early, preferably 3 hours before flight departure, to avoid congestion.

Singapore Airlines also offers Internet check-in from 48 hours before flight departure. Customers who have performed Internet check-in can also print out their own boarding pass at their own convenience. There will be dedicated counters to serve Internet Check-in passengers for quicker check-in.
