Hilton has opened the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing. The hotel which is owned by the Beijing Macau Development Company and managed by Hilton, has 255 guest rooms, including 58 suites. Located in the heart of Wangfujing, Beijing’s prominent commercial and social district, the hotel is designed to be a chic, intimate, lifestyle sanctuary designed by internationally acclaimed and award winning Singaporean based architectural firm Wilson & Associates.

Hilton Beijing Wangfujing’s interiors were inspired by the classical Rococo-style era and the traditional architecture of the nearby Forbidden City. The lobby and reception areas communicate the intimate lifestyle theme incorporating cozy fireplaces that provide a warm and inviting backdrop to the hotel.

The hotel will feature four dramatically styled restaurants and lounges. The restaurants include Vasco’s, one of the few Macanese restaurants in Beijing. Another of the restaurants is Chynna, offering regional Chinese classics combined with modern cooking techniques and will have a resident Tea Master, who will introduce diners to the history and natural wonders of tea. Also on hand will be a resident nutritionist, who will offer advice on menu options to meet the nutritional and lifestyle needs of diners.

The hotel’s deluxe guest rooms combine style and function and are amongst the largest in the city, starting at a comfortable 50 square metres  and featuring sophisticated technology. All guest rooms offer Crabtree & Evelyn bath amenities, marble top vanities; separate two-jet body massage, “rain tile” showers, glass enclosed WC facilities, a deep-soak Victorian-style bathtub and a spacious walk in closet that allow breathing room for fine garments.

The guest rooms incorporate highly sophisticated in-room entertainment such as iPod docking stations, 42 inch flat screen LCD televisions and DVD players. In addition the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing offers Hilton’s VGA plug-in cable that connects the in-room TV and the guest’s laptop. By simply plugging-in their own laptop - the television screen can be split so guests can watch TV while checking e-mail or researching on the Internet, watch their own movies or even plug-in their digital cameras and preview photos.

The bright and airy deluxe suites are sized from 92 square metres and offer a whole new way to recharge. The Executive Level rooms feature generously scaled executive desks, ergonomic desk chairs, two-line phones with voicemail, data ports and a separate line for a combination fax/printer/copier for ease of communication. Executive Level guests may enjoy the services and facilities of the executive lounge including private secured access, a dedicated concierge team that will assist with check-in and check-out, packing, unpacking and other travel services. The executive lounge also offers complimentary food and beverage throughout the day and sweeping views of the Forbidden City.

The penthouse suite, at a generous 257 square meters, is a testament of modern sophistication. This glamorous home away from home offers the ultimate spacious retreat for work and play and is conveniently divided into four comfort zones including a spacious bedroom and relaxation area,, a tastefully designed living room, a kitchen area for entertaining friends or business partners and a study nook that is strategically positioned between the living room and the dining room so guests can easily transition between work and play. Highly sophisticated in room technology, bespoke entertainment facilities and stunning views of the city add to the sense of indulgence and privacy.

To help guests relax and sleep well the concierge can recommend the perfect pillow from the hotel’s specialized pillow menu and arrange other sleep inducing amenities including the hotel’s guide to relaxation, a massage at the hotel’s Spa or a bedtime snack of cookies and milk. The hotel even provides guests with their own aquatic in-room companions – a goldfish. The hotel encourages guests to watch their pet goldfish for 10 minutes before bed to aid de-stressing and to encourage a peaceful night’s sleep.

If the goldfish does not help, The Spa at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing offers a wide range of inspiring treatments which have been carefully designed to honour local traditions in healing and incorporate indigenous natural elements. In addition to treatments, the spa also offers a stunning glass-enclosed, temperature controlled outdoor swimming pool, relaxation deck and a serenity garden has been added to further enhance the wellness experience.

For active travelers the hotel offers a comprehensive 24 hour fitness centre by Precor featuring LifeStride, treadmills, Lifecycles, Stairmasters, Cross Aerobic Trainers and a selection of free weights.

At Hilton Beijing Wangfujing all the meeting rooms are enhanced by floor to ceiling windows offering generous natural lighting and inspiring views of the city. The meeting rooms feature the most sophisticated technology, from wireless Internet access to cable television in meeting rooms and an in-building cellular repeater antenna to ensure uninterrupted service in periods of high business usage.

Nils-Arne Schroeder, General Manager of Hilton Beijing Wangfujing said, “I look forward to continuing the success of Hilton Hotels in a city that is experiencing phenomenal growth. The opening of the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing before the Summer Olympics will provide a wealth of choice for business and leisure guests. The hotel’s location at the crossroads of Beijing’s commercial, cultural and tourism hubs, coupled with our innovative food and beverage concepts and large guest rooms are sure to make the hotel a key social gathering spot for our local community as well as the international travelers.”
