Austrian Airlines adds Adelaide as International Departure Point

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 6 August 2008

Austrian Airlines recently updated their Australian fares product by including Adelaide as an international departure point. This addition allows passengers to travel with one of Austrians partner airlines, Singapore Airlines or Malaysian Airlines from Adelaide to either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. From these two cities passengers can purchase additional Asia add-ons, allowed by the carrier and connect in any of Austrians Asian gateways.

The flexibility of this product saves passengers from Adelaide having to connect in another Australian major city and permits a stopover in any transfer point. Departures are also offered from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns and Perth with special domestic add-on fares available from Canberra and Hobart.

Other additions to Austrian Airlines fares include two new destinations: ALP - Aleppo (Syria) and EBL - Erbil (Iraq), a new Middle East zone has been introduced to cater to the ever growing Middle Eastern market.

Austrians airline partners now include Thai Airways, Qantas, Air China, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and British Airways.
