Set to open by the end of 2008 Anantara Si Kao Resort & Spa lies on the secluded Changlang Beach area south of Krabi. White sand beaches, virgin tropical rainforest, incredible caves and beautiful waterfalls all combine to make one of Thailand’s best kept secrets.

Located in the charmingly uncommercial Trang Province, approximately one hour’s drive from Krabi International Airport, the resort is framed by whispering Casuarina trees and beckoning tropical islands. Guests can unwind in laid-back luxury, explore the stunning environment or perhaps get up close and personal with the famous Dugong (Sea Cow) herds that populate the region.

A true destination experience, the resort forms part of the Hat Chao Mai National Park, covering the coastal area and numerous fairytale islands dotted amidst the glittering turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea.

Guests looking for adventure will be able to enjoy the resort’s excellent facilities, including speed and long-tail boats, canoes and kayaks, and bicycles. A regular speedboat shuttle service enables guests to indulge at Anantara Si Kao’s exclusive private day resort on the nearby stunning tropical island of Koh Kradan with its rugged limestone cliffs and vast rubber plantations.

Anantara Si Kao will offer 138 sea-view rooms and suites, with a choice of three room styles all featuring exotic Thai-inspired facilities, open bathrooms with large tubs, and private terraces or balconies. Of particular highlight will be two Anantara signature pool villas and a presidential villa comprising up to three bedrooms, set around a private pool. Guests will be able to stroll from the Bill Bensley-designed lush tropical gardens down on to stretches of white sandy beaches that run for kilometres.

Those who want to cocoon themselves in luxury may seek out the tranquility of the swimming pool or separate children’s pool, the pleasures of the fitness centre and WiFi lounge or the renowned pampering of the Anantara Spa. Dining options will include the open-air Vistas restaurant, serving European and healthy choices, along with stunning Thai classics and local specialties, and the Beach House complete with unique “romantic day-bed boat” which offers snacks, great smoothies and a great place to watch the sun go down over a Bellini or Margarita cocktail. As night falls the second-floor lofted restaurant ACQUA is the place to savour scrumptious seafood and pastas served with an Italian flair. Engage our Wine Guru, who is on hand to take you on an illuminating journey through his extensive wine list.

Dining by Design is the reort's specialty dinner experience not to be missed, where special romantic private dinners can be prepared on the sandbank with a personal chef.

Guests will also be able to learn to cook Thai cuisine; learn scuba diving, go snorkeling and indulge in the myriad of water sports. Explore the surrounding beaches, caves and street markets while the kids can explore their imagination at theKid’s Club.
