Oktay Bulgurcuoglu appointed General Manager of Swiss-Belhotel Doha

Swiss-Belhotel International has appointed Mr Oktay Bulgurcuoglu as General Manager of the new Swiss-Belhotel Doha in Qatar.

Turkish-born Oktay, began his career in the hospitality industry in Baden, Germany as an Apprentice in Restaurant, Bars and Kitchen. Since that time he has climbed the Food & Beverage ladder to reach the role of General Manager. His experience which includes positions with leading international brands such as Sheraton, Hilton, InterContinental and Iberotel among others, includes five pre-openings. He also gained experience in the flourishing cruise industry in the mid 90s with Cunard / NAC – Norway.

Oktay’s career history has been very cosmopolitan with stints in Germany, United Kingdom, Turkey, Qatar and most recently Saudi Arabia.

The Swiss-Belhotel Doha is the group’s first property in Qatar and is the result of a management agreement between Abdullah Al Majid Est. and Swiss-Belhotel International.

The new four star hotel which is currently in the final stages of completion is just five minutes from the international airport, and ideally located between the banking district and the old Doha city centre. The 17 floor twin tower property and shopping precinct was designed by Badih & Kantar a well known designer architect from Beirut, Lebanon.
