Travelport GDS and The Oberoi Group has launched a rewards program offering a host of benefits to Galileo-connected travel agents in Singapore and Hong Kong. The rewards program includes hotels and cruises operated by The Oberoi Group under the luxury ‘Oberoi’ and five-star ‘Trident’ brands.

From 1 May through 31 July 2008, travel agents in Singapore and Hong Kong booking an Oberoi or a Trident hotel on the Galileo system will earn points for shopping vouchers which can then be redeemed through a number of popular merchants.

Every materialised room reservation at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts (OB chain code) made on Galileo will earn agents 10 reward points. Meanwhile, materialised reservations at Trident Hotels (TH chain code) and select Oberoi hotels in India, Egypt, Indonesia and Mauritius, will earn agents double reward points. Travel agencies accumulating 200 reward points in a month will be presented with one of the following items: an iPod, a digital camera or a dining voucher.

“We are delighted that through our valued relationship with The Oberoi Group, our travel agents in Singapore and Hong Kong can redeem some amazing rewards when they book any hotel under the luxury ‘Oberoi’ and five star ‘Trident’ brands on the Galileo system. We believe this program will be welcomed by our agents and will serve to raise the profile of these award-winning hotels”, said Joe Lim, Regional Director, Hospitality and Car Rental, Asia Pacific, Travelport GDS.
