Mr. Stephen Weaver, President of Asian Region, Las Vegas Sands Corp. said while presenting the cheque to Macau Red Cross, “We all have a responsibility to do what we can to assist our friends in China whose lives have been affected in the current severe weather conditions. We know that our team members want to help the relief efforts, and this campaign assists them to be able to do so. Our initial contribution kicks off the campaign, we would like with this donation to participate in rebuilding the lives of those who have lost so much.”

The donation will be used to support Red Cross currently working in snowstorms affected regions in China as well as serve direct emergency assistance where it can provide maximum benefit to the people affected by the snowstorms.

The campaign will run until after Lunar Chinese New Year, at which time Venetian Macau Ltd. will deliver the amount contributed by its team members at Sands Macau and The Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel and its own matching contribution to the Macau Red Cross.
