Tristar Hotels has joined Preferred Hotel Group's Sterling Hotels collection of more than 60 hotels around the world.

The first Tristar property to join Sterling is the Svelte Hotel & Personal Suites. The 83 luxurious all-suite hotel offers a homey environment with a contemporary feel in the convenient location of Saket, the business and entertainment hub of South Delhi. The hotel is a mere 25-minute drive from the domestic and international airport as well as the city centre. It is within walking distance of premier entertainment, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping.

Spacious guest rooms feature leather furnishings and stylish interiors. Facilities in each guest room include a kitchenette equipped with a well-stocked refrigerator, microwave oven, hot plate, cookware, and service ware. An LCD TV and DVD player provides entertainment while a functional workstation with broadband Internet access offers an efficient workspace. Lighting and temperature are electronically controlled. The hotel offers 24-hour room service and chef services on demand as well as a 24-hour business centre. The fitness centre, with massage treatments and rooftop swimming pool, provides an ideal place to relax and maintain fitness.

George Abraham, CEO, Tristar Hotels, said, "Our plan in the first phase is to open seven more hotels by 2010 across India in Bangalore Kolkata, Pune, Chandigarh, Mysore and Dehradun. These cities are witnessing a demand for superior accommodation, especially from IT and BPO companies and business travellers. Offering a wide ranging of marketing tools, booking technology and global network of sales teams, we are confident that the Preferred Hotel Group alliance will provide us with the exposure and sales efforts globally."
