Bezurk.com, an Asia Pacific-based travel search engine, recently appointed three key managers to posts in Marketing and Business Development. The move is part of the company’s ongoing expansion following the investment in the business by News Digital Media in December 2007.

Miguel Bernas has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for building awareness for the Bezurk brand, meeting visitor targets and educating Asian consumers about the benefits of the travel search engine business model.

Miguel is a seasoned marketer, having held regional marketing roles for renowned brands like MTV, CNBC, Virgin and Yahoo!. Most recently, Miguel was responsible for advertising campaigns for Nokia Nseries across Asia Pacific, and a key member of Nokia’s regional marketing team in Singapore.

Jeffry Tan has been named Director, Supplier Relations, responsible for business development and account management of flight partners, including multiple airlines and online travel agencies.

Jeffry has a wealth of experience from within the travel technology sector, having worked in Global Distributions Systems (GDS) companies like Abacus and Worldspan in the areas of business development, sales and account management of travel suppliers and providers. He also helped to promote the growth of online real-time reservations services during the early years of travel e-commerce in Asia Pacific. Most recently, he was responsible for sales and relationship management of major airlines in Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific for Worldspan, a major international GDS.

Also joining Bezurk’s marketing team is Ryan Pham, who has been named Search Marketing Manager. Ryan is responsible for Search Engine Marketing, driving quality traffic to Bezurk from all over the region. He will also work with Bezurk’s Product team to increase and improve the quality of visitors coming from search engines. Ryan joins Bezurk from digital marketing agency Profero, where he served as Media Strategist.
