KLM to launch Flights between Amsterdam and Liverpool

Effective 29 March 2009, KLM cityhopper will operate a new scheduled service between Amsterdam and Liverpool using Fokker 70 aircraft. Liverpool will be KLM’s fifteenth destination in the UK.

Liverpool is a most interesting destination for business and leisure travellers alike. In terms of business, the city has developed strongly in recent years. Liverpool, one of the United Kingdom’s fastest growing cities, is located in the fourth largest urban region of the UK and is Europe’s cultural capital for 2008.

Pieter Elbers, Senior Vice President Network at KLM said, “Being the only major network carrier to include Liverpool in its network, KLM further strengthens its position in the UK, one of the most important markets in the extensive network of KLM.”
