Best Western to Manage Premier Hotel in Padang

Best Western International is to manage a new hotel in Padang, Indonesia. The Best Western Premier Hotel Padang is scheduled to open in 2009.

The 168-room Best Western Premier Padang is in an ideal location for business and leisure travelers, it offers a convenient connection to Minang Plaza for shopping and entertainment. Nearby the hotel are important government and corporate offices.

The hotel will feature a bar, restaurant, fitness center, sauna, meeting rooms, laundry service and a spa.

Jusuf Sawirin, managing director of Best Western area development office in Indonesia, said, “We are excited of this new hotel opening as it also marks the opening of the luxury brand Best Western Premier in the country.”

Best Western Premier has over 80 hotels in its portfolio spread across Europe and Asia. More Best Western hotels are expected to open in 2009 and 2010 with the following properties: BW New Kuta Condotel, Bali in February 2009; BW Mangga Dua Jakarta in April 2009; BW Premier Kuta in April 2009; BW Premier Solo in April 2009; and BW Grand Seminyak in 2010.

In Asia, there are over 130 Best Western hotels in various stages of development and operations. Best Western International has plans to expand its presence in the region to 200 hotels by 2010.
