Hertz launches Online Check-In for Customers in Australia

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 29 July 2008

Hertz has launched an online check-in service for customers in Australia. The new service should help reduce the time it takes for renters to collect their vehicles.

By checking in online, customers can provide personal information such as contact telephone numbers, address and driver’s licence details before they leave home.

By doing so, they streamline the rental process, minimising the time spent at the check-in counter on arrival, and getting them to their vehicles with minimal delay.

“Waiting time is wasted time,” said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia. “Both business travellers and leisure travellers want to get going as fast as possible to maximise either their working day or their holiday time.”

“By enabling our customers to provide personal details online before they start their journey we can cut the time it takes customers to collect to their cars and help them to get on their way,” Wayne added.

Hertz has more than 220 locations in Australia.
