FCm appoints General Manager product and IT for Greater China

Asia Pacific based global travel management company, FCm Travel Solutions, has appointed Paul Ford as its new general manager product and IT for Greater China.

Paul is responsible for the execution of FCm's product and IT strategy in the region, and the development of strong long-term relationships with FCm's suppliers and partners.

Operationally, Paul will be responsible for wholesale, contracting / product and technology areas and will work very closely with FCm's operations managers in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. He will also be responsible for driving and implementing a number of new projects across the business.

Paul has more than 20 years' travel industry experience to the position, including his most recent role as Travelport's head of hotel  sourcing for India and North Asia.

Prior to this, he held positions including Asia and Middle East product development manager for Bridge the World Travel Service, where his work was acknowledged with the "Best Buyer" award from the Asian Travel Forum 2000, the "New Best Program" award from Tourism Malaysia 2001, and the "Friends of Thailand Award" from TAT Bangkok 2002.

Based in Hong Kong, Paul will work closely with FCm's executive general manager Greater China, David Fraser, in long-term product planning and technology development for the region.
