The Sukhothai Bangkok has appointed Lisa Pile as its Director of Sales and
Marketing and Ms.Wannapa Rakkeo as the hotel’s new Director of Business
Development.

Lisa
Pile
is rejoining the Sukothai’s owning company HKR International, a
firm she previously worked with for four years. In a career which has spanned four continents with senior postings in Australia, the UK,
Africa and China, Ms Pile said she was excited about the challenges that lay ahead for
her.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the new team to take the hotel to the next
phase of its development while continuing to cater to our loyal group of guests,” Ms Pile
said. “Having worked for the company previously I know the corporate philosophy is centred
on service delivery and customer satisfaction – a goal my team and I will strive to
continue to achieve and improve.”
Previous to joining The Sukhothai, Ms Pile was Director of Sales Development at the
Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB), where she worked for two years.
Prior to this she worked for the Kempinski hotel group for six years in China and Africa.
Wannapa
Rakkeo
spent her childhood in the Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi, where her
father was the Naval Attache. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the
Faculty of Humanities from Chiang Mai University. After university, she was a part
of the editorial team for the English version of ''Manager'' magazine and later
joined Cathay Pacific Airways as a Flight Attendant, based
in Hong Kong.
Wannapa came back to Thailand and embarked on a career in Public Relations.
Her extensive PR and Marketing Communications experience includes positions at
Marriott Resorts & Spas (Thailand) where she acheived an award of “Outstanding
Performance 2001” and at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Central Hotels & Resorts.
Her last position before
joining The Sukhothai Bangkok was as the Director of
Marketing Communications at the Conrad Bangkok where she worked for 4 years.
