Air Miles appoints New Head of Business and Customer Relationship Management

 Mr Awny Ahmed has taken over the position of Head of Business and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) at Air Miles,  the popular multi participant loyalty programme.

Awny has been with Rewards Management Middle East (RMMEL) since its Middle East launch, and played a major role in acquiring key new businesses. He was the key person in launching Air Miles in Bahrain as well as launching the My Rewards Points loyalty programme in Egypt, Oman, Jordan and Lebanon. He was also responsible for the overall management of the programme in Qatar.

In his new capacity, Awny will spearhead business development functions and oversee the CRM division of RMMEL, the company that owns and operates the Air Miles loyalty program in the Middle East. His new role will also see him continue overall responsibility of Bahrain operations, a key market for Air Miles.

In his new role, Awny will lead a large team of sales personnel responsible for driving more business to Air Miles, using his advanced understanding of the retail sector and Customer Relationship Management skills.

“Working with Air Miles has given me a fantastic insight into the nature of various retail businesses and I look forward to implementing the currency of Air Miles into various businesses, using innovate ways to ensure it continues to be a great success,” said Awny.
