Devarana Spas in Thailand have launched a new treatment to help those suffering sleepless nights. The new Power Nap Ritual is what the spas call 'an emergency assistance' for those who suffer from sleep deprivation to get the rest they need.

Poor sleep has a major impact on how a person functions during the day. Sleep-deprived people are chronically tired, moody and potentially depressed. To help the restless get sufficient rest, Devarana Spa’s 2.5-hour Power Nap package combines a soothing Lavender Body Scrub, a hot Milk Bath, an aromatic lavender and chamomile oil massage with a 30-minute power nap that allows one to unwind, get a much-needed rest and wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to go back to finish off a hectic day. Additionally, the ritual comes accompanied with soothing Devarana music, a selection of melody to help induce natural sleep at home.

Lavender is best known as a natural herb that helps to calm the body and mind as well as facilitating sleep. To drift you off into a peaceful rest, Lavender Body Scrub sedates your senses with its soothing aroma, melting away stress and making you feel relaxed. Its mild paste is enriched with natural vitamins and moisturizer to gently cleanse, exfoliate and nourish the skin, leaving the skin looking smooth, refreshed and velvety with a radiant glow.

Soaking in a hot milky bath, filled with lavender, geranium and ylang ylang essential oils, provides many therapeutic benefits of Balneo therapy, including sleep promotion. Blood vessels dilate, circulation increases, muscles relax and your nervous system function properly. During a relaxing soak, it is recommended to submerge up to the neck as the more skin surface in contact with warm water, the greater the physiological rewards. Additionally, you can enjoy the taste and fragrance of hot chamomile tea that encourages the mind towards peace and relaxation, ultimately promoting a restful sleep. After 15-20 minutes soak without drying off,  wrap yourself in a bathrobe for a simple 10 minutes to truly relish its therapeutic benefits.

To ease you into a sleep, aromatic Lavender and Chamomile Oil Massage with deep Swedish strokes to help reduce stress, relax and relieve muscle. The relaxation enhanced by the sweet soothing scents of Lavender and Chamomile, opens the door to a place comfortable enough to drop all your concerns and fall asleep.

As your body goes deeper into relaxation, guests take a 30-minute power nap, allowing the mind to maximize the benefits of sleep versus time. Power nap is used to supplement normal sleep, especially when a sleeper has accumulated a sleep deficit. It helps to clear the brain, improve alertness and mood and provide energy.

The 2.5-hours Power Nap Ritual includes: 30 minutes Lavender Scrub, 30 minutes Milk Bath (Chamomile tea served during the bath),  60 minutes Chamomile & Lavender Massage, a 30 minutes power nap and Devarana Music (CD Volume 3). The Ritual costs Baht 4,900++ per person and is available at all Devarana Spas in Thailand.
