Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Wednesday, 26 March 2008

Dnata Travel Services is building its portfolio of products and services with the addition of Luxury Air Travel by Dnata.

The new division will represent private jet charter operators and offer customised services to meet the growing demand for luxury, bespoke air travel solutions in the Middle East.

Iain Andrew, Divisional Senior Vice President, Dnata Travel Services, said, "Dnata has unrivalled expertise and local knowledge, which makes us the perfect choice to represent private jet charter operators. The creation of a specialist division to handle the luxury travel market is the natural next step for Dnata."

The Middle East charter market has grown at 23% p.a. over the past 2 years and is now estimated to be worth around US$ 500 million annually.

IATA forecasts predict the Middle East will be one of the fastest growing regions for international traffic over the next few years, with increases  expected to be around 7% annually, well ahead of the world average of 4.8%.

Leigh Cowderoy, Manager, Luxury Air Travel by Dnata, said, "There is significant demand in the marketplace for private jet charters. It is a truly aspirational concept, yet attainable for a growing number of customers - customers who appreciate the privacy, convenience and luxury of traveling this way. When this desire is coupled with Dnata's reputation for reliability, quality and luxury, we are confident that demand for the services of Luxury Air Travel by Dnata will continue to climb."
