Royal Jet, the UAE based, international luxury executive flight services company, has transferred Nizzar Jazzar to the role of Vice President Aircraft Project Engineering & Business Development from his previous position as V.P. of Maintenance and Engineering; whilst Mohammed Eturki, has been appointed as Vice President Technical.

Royal Jet's President and CEO, Shane O’Hare said these appointments represent an important milestone in Royal Jet's vigorous growth plan. "With the Middle East’s business aviation sector set to continue its annual double-digit growth over the next five years, we are gearing up to handle an even higher level of new business," he said. "Much of our business is involved with both engineering and technical aspects – line maintenance, logistics, flight management and aircraft acquisition, for instance – and these two appointments are part of our wider, on-going programme of recruitment and restructuring that will ensure we are able to continue to deliver the right product and service to customers, whilst improving our processes and reducing costs."

Nizzar Jazzar has close to 25 years experience of aircraft maintenance and aviation management, with particular emphasis on VIP aircraft and special missions operations. In his new role he will have responsibility for establishing, developing and directing the implementation of technical business opportunities for the aircraft improvement programmes and provide technical support for the acquisition of new and used aircrafts.

Prior to joining Royal Jet he held a number of senior executive maintenance and engineering management positions for 10 years with Boeing’s shared aircraft maintenance, repair, overall and modifications facility - Al Salam - in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also worked with Continental Airlines in Los Angeles and Houston for more than 12 years managing aircraft maintenance and operations in support of a wide range of aircraft.

The Project Engineering and Business Development Department is responsible for establishing new aircraft modifications and refurbishments, together with aircraft project engineering capabilities and providing technical and management support for aircraft acquisitions and new facilities.

The department is also responsible for establishing and maintaining systems for evaluating costs, scheduling and technical performance, relating to aircraft interior refurbishments, along with modification projects and special aircraft maintenance programmes with the objective of maximising Royal Jet’s growth and profitability.

Mohammed Eturki, in his new role as Vice President Technical will lead Royal Jet's maintenance and engineering team to deliver safe reliable aircraft, whilst at the same time improving processes in the face of escalating costs.

Mr. Eturki carries with him a strong background and extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, safety and quality systems as he worked with some of the world’s best known engineering and maintenance companies, such as KLM, British Airways, Al Salam Aircraft Company (Riyadh), and National Air Services of Saudi Arabia. More recently, Eturki led NAS's engineering and maintenance as well as the quality & safety divisions.

His 170-strong technical department controls aircraft line maintenance, base maintenance tasks up to C-Check standards on Gulfstream and Learjet aircraft, full material support for Royal Jet and Amiri flight fleet operations, maintenance control and planning functions, ground handling and the FBO (fixed base operations) facility.
