Wyndham Hotel Group International appoints Director of Development for Southeast Asia

Wyndham Hotel Group International has appointed Rajeev Panjwani as director of international development for Southeast Asia.

Panjwani, who reports to Tom Monahan, Wyndham Hotel Group executive vice president of international development, will be responsible for the development of the Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn, Howard Johnson and Super 8 brands in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Panjwani will also work on strategic development projects in the Pacific region.

Panjwani formerly was director of development for Group RCI, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide, and was responsible for developing its leisure real estate business in Southeast Asia and India as well as expanding the Registry Collection, one of the largest luxury exchange programs in the world. He joined the company in 2006.

Panjwani began his career in 1991, and worked in various operational roles, with Oberoi Hotels in Mumbai, India. Panjwani has also served in various management and business development positions for Jones Day in Singapore and India, and Arthur Anderson in Mumbai, where he focused on business development, communications, recruitment and general management.

Panjwani earned a bachelors degree in 1991 from the University of Bombay, India; a hospitality management diploma from the Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development, Delhi, in 1993; and a masters of business administration degree in 2005 from the National University of Singapore.

Wyndham Hotel Group, one of three principal components of Wyndham Worldwide, encompasses more than 6,550 hotels and 551,000 rooms in 59 countries on six continents.
