Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur opens New Premium Wing and Spa

The Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur has opened a new premium wing, the Orchid Club, adding 78 rooms to a total of 426 rooms and suites, as well as the St Gregory Spa, also managed by Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts.

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur is an ideal choice for leisure or business travelers as it offers easy access to main shopping venues as well as the business district.

The new Orchid Club wing is where guests can enjoy a new level of comfort and privileges. A private glass bubble lift transports guests directly from the hotel lobby up to the Orchid Club Lounge (one of the largest in the city at 438m˛) on level six.

The Club Floors are located on levels three to six and feature rooms of 30m˛ to 72m˛ in size. Guests can expect 32-inch Sony LCD televisions with attached DVD players, free Internet usage, larger bathrooms with separate bath and shower facilities.

An estimated RM16 million was spent on the new rooms that were designed by KKS International Co. Ltd. To further enhance the new wing, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur has commissioned works from local emerging artists like Kim Peow Ng and Yau Bee Leng, to be displayed there.

Ms Wee Wei Ling, Executive Director of Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts said, “The group is embarking on a regional expansion plan. We rebranded the Parkroyal Saigon early this year and it is enjoying a very successful return to the group. The continuous innovation of our products and services plays a critical part in this plan as we aim to provide our guests with every possible comfort, productivity and well-being.”

Guests staying at the Orchid Club can enjoy a host of added privileges:

• personalised check-in and check-out services;
• complimentary fruit basket upon arrival;
• complimentary breakfast, tea and coffee as well as evening cocktails (from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm) at the Orchid Club Lounge;
• complimentary daily pressing/ laundry of two suits (four pieces);
• complimentary Internet access at the Orchid Club Lounge.

For evening cocktails, guests may entertain one other person free-of-charge. Private business meetings can be conducted in the Orchid Club Lounge or the Boardroom, which is at the Orchid Club guest’s disposal free of charge for one hour daily.

The Orchid Club wing at the Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur also houses St Gregory’s Spa’s 11th outlet in Asia Pacific. With its urban exotic ambience and a wide range of treatments, guests can look forward to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Treatments ranging from aromatherapy facials to Javanese massages and traditional therapies such as Ayurveda and Tui Na are offered in its five treatment rooms.

Orchid Club guests enjoy also special discounts at the spa which is conveniently located on level six where the Orchid Club lounge is.

To celebrate the Orchid Club's official launch, the Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur is offering special rates from RM399++ per night and RM718++ for 2 nights. This promotion is valid until 30 June 2008.

At St Gregory’s Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur, the opening promotion consists of a 120min signature treatment which comprises the Aromatic Body Bliss Massage and Moisture Quenching Facial for RM287++.
