Thai Airways International Reduces Fuel Surcharges

Thai Airways International has lowered its fuel surcharge on international and domestic flights. With 80% of THAI passengers flying to Thailand and elsewhere from overseas, THAI expects to see increase in number of passengers especially from India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Korea, which are THAIs major markets in the region. The fuel surcharge reduction is up to 30% on some routes.

Fuel surcharge for all domestic flights within Thailand, for air tickets purchased or issued overseas, except Thailand is US$ 24 per sector.

International Flights

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 41 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh City v.v., Bangkok-Hanoi v.v., Bangkok-Vientiene v.v., Bangkok-Phnom Penh v.v., Bangkok-Penang v.v., Bangkok-Yangon v.v., including the return routes between Hong Kong-Taipei v.v., Dubai-Kuwait v.v., Karachi-Muscat v.v., Chiang Mai-Kunming v.v., and the route between Bodhgaya-Varanasi.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 67 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Singapore v.v., Bangkok-Kuala Lumpur v.v., Bangkok-Hong Kong v.v.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 72 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Kunming v.v., Bangkok-Guangzhou v.v., Bangkok-Dhaka v.v., Bangkok-Kolkata v.v., Bangkok-Brunei v.v., Bangkok-Chittagong v.v., including the route between Taipei-Seoul.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 87 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Bangalore v.v., Bangkok-Hyderabad v.v., Bangkok-Chennai v.v., Bangkok-Bodhgaya v.v., Bangkok-Varanasi v.v., Bangkok-Jakarta v.v., Bangkok-Manila v.v., Bangkok-Chengdu v.v., Bangkok-Colombo v.v., Bangkok-Kathmandu v.v., Bangkok-Xiamen v.v., and Bangkok-Taipei v.v., including the return routes between Manila-Osaka v.v. and Hong Kong-Seoul v.v.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 128 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Perth v.v., Bangkok-Denpasar v.v., Bangkok-Muscat v.v., Bangkok-Islamabad v.v., Bangkok-Delhi v.v., Bangkok-Mumbai v.v., Bangkok-Kuwait v.v., Bangkok-Dubai v.v., Bangkok-Karachi v.v., Bangkok-Lahore v.v., Bangkok-Beijing v.v., Bangkok-Shanghai v.v., including the routes between Perth-Phuket and return route Chennai-Dubai v.v.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 135 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Tokyo v.v., Bangkok-Osaka v.v., Bangkok-Nagoya v.v., Bangkok-Fukuoka v.v., Bangkok-Seoul v.v., and Bangkok-Busan v.v.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 170 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Melbourne v.v., Bangkok-Sydney v.v., and Bangkok-Brisbane v.v.  

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 195 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Auckland v.v., Bangkok-Munich v.v., Bangkok-Milan v.v., Bangkok-Rome v.v., Bangkok-Athens v.v., Bangkok-Copenhagen v.v., Bangkok-Stockholm v.v., Bangkok-Zurich v.v., Bangkok-Moscow v.v., Bangkok-Johannesburg v.v., Bangkok-Frankfurt v.v. including the route between Osaka-Los Angeles.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 215 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-London v.v., Bangkok-Paris v.v., and Bangkok-Madrid v.v.

Fuel surcharge rate of US$ 266 per sector, on the return route Bangkok-Los Angeles v.v.

For domestic flights, THAI will collect a fuel surcharge rate of THB 750 per sector, excluding the route Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son whereby THB 600 will be collected per sector.
