With its first flights to Beijing less than two weeks away, Etihad Airways has launched a special 'buy one, get one half price' pearl business class offer to the Chinese capital.

The promotion allows customers buying a pearl business class ticket from Abu Dhabi to Beijing to purchase an additional pearl business class ticket with 50% off the original fare.

Etihad is offering some of the lowest-ever introductory fares to Beijing, with return pearl business class tickets starting from AED 6,440 and one way tickets starting from AED 3,510.

Geert Boven, Etihad Airways' executive vice president sales and services, said, "Excitement is building ahead of the launch of our flights to Beijing and we are thrilled to offer this 'buy one, get one half price' deal to our customers.

"The pearl business class promotion is only available until the end of March and we anticipate considerable demand for this fantastic offer, so those interested need to book quickly to avoid disappointment."

Etihad will operate four flights a week from Abu Dhabi to Beijing from 30 March, which will be the eighth city in the Asia Pacific region of the airline's rapidly expanding global flight network.

A two class Etihad Airways Airbus A330-200 will fly to Beijing, offering a total passenger capacity of more than 2,000 seats every week. The aircraft is configured to carry 262 passengers with 22 in business class and 240 in economy class.

Etihad's services to Beijing will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with flight EY888 departing from Abu Dhabi at 11.45pm and arriving in the Chinese capital at 11.30am the next day.

Return flight EY889 departs from Beijing every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7.10pm arriving in Abu Dhabi at 00.20am the next day.

Sales for the pearl business class promotion are on offer until 31 March 2008. Outbound flights must take place between 30 March and 30 April 2008 with return flights completed by 31 May 2008. Fares quoted above exclude taxes and terms and conditions apply.
