Jumeirah's Emirates Academy strengthens Training and Development Team

The Emirates Academy, part of Dubai-based luxury international hospitality group, Jumeirah, has appointed Mr. Mike Newnham as Head of Consulting and Training and Mr. Shaun Harper as Director of Professional Training and Development.

Mike joins the team at The Emirates Academy from Jumeirah Groups corporate office, where he previously held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. Mike, who has been part of the Jumeirah group for the last eight years, has been responsible for the development of HR resources, processes and technologies for the group.

Shaun has been Manager of Professional Training and Development at The Emirates Academy since last year, where he has been facilitating and developing professional training courses for all aspects of the service industry as well as managing a team of training consultants. Shaun previously set up his own Training and Development company in the UK after working for the Hilton group as Regional Human Resources and Learning Development Manager.

Ron Hilvert, Managing Director of The Emirates Academy, said, The knowledge and experience that both Mike and Shaun will bring to the Department will help us to further develop the key strengths of the department as well as The Emirates Academy in general.
