Arief Gunawan has been appointed General Manager of the Sun Spa Resort, Quang Binh, Vietnam.

Gunawan graduated in Business Administration from Washington State University – USA, Master of Business Administration & Law from West Coast Institute of Management Perth – Australia, honored Doctor of Philosophy from University of Berkley, Michigan – USA, and is a member of The National Federation of Neuro Linguistic Psychology, Florida – USA.

He has extensive experience within the industry having worked for companies such as Aerowisata Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Worldwide, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Accor Hotels & Resorts, Hong Kong Plaza, and Kosaido Golf & Country Club.

The Sun Spa Resort, set amidst 29 hectares of landscaped gardens along the pristine white sand Bao Ninh Beach, is located in the picturesque Central Vietnam city of Dong Hoi, a gateway to the mystical World Heritage of Phong Nha caves, recognized by UNESCO.

The resort features 234 rooms, 21 Pool Villas and 56 bungalows. It consists of three restaurants, a Café restaurant serves breakfast buffet and European meals, Golden Lotus specializes in Vietnamese foods and Asian Delight is offers guests Asian foods and local seafood.

The Ocean bar next to the swimming pool and overlooking the sea brings a lively atmosphere while the bar next to the fishing lake in the luxurious villa complex reflects a sense of privacy and quietness.

The spa offers massages, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and different skin care therapies.
