Splendia unveils First Branded Hotels in Paris

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Friday, 17 October 2008

Three hotels in Paris, the luxury boutique hotel Keppler, stylish urban hotel Marceau Bastille and the elegant classic Hotel de Sers have become the first hotels in the French capital to display the exclusive Splendia membership plaque.

Emmanuel Sauvage, General Manager of Hôtel Marceau Bastille, said, “We have a privileged relationship with Splendia because we opened our hotel at the same time when Splendia launched its website. Splendia is specialised in the distribution of luxury boutique hotels, and we have experienced that their values are very positive for our image.”

This new development will move Spendia's online booking platform towards becoming a fully fledged marketing affiliation in an aim to create an internationally recognised luxury hotel brand.

“The value of a brand essentially resides in the minds of customers and is based primarily on their level of brand awareness, their perceptions  of its quality, and their loyalty to the brand. I believe brands create value for customers by helping to ensure a consistently high level of quality,” explained Elie de Coignac, CEO and co-founder of Splendia. “By extending our brand name to our affiliated partner hotels we are reinforcing our authority in luxury and character hotels.”

Founded in 2004 by Elie de Coignac and Benoit Durand, Splendia is a luxury hotel brand that provides an online reservation service dedicated to discerning leisure and business travellers. With their European head office in Barcelona and other offices in Marrakesh, Paris, Hong Kong and Miami, Splendia represents more than 2,500 luxury and character hotels around the world.
