Thai Airways International opens Renovated Royal Silk Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Thai Airways International has opened its revamped Royal Silk Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

THAIs Royal Silk Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport underwent a full renovation between November 2007 and April 2008. The lounge now has a maximum capacity for 75 passengers with 11 seats in the VIP section and 64 seats in the main lounge. The newly renovated Royal Silk Lounge provides services such as LCD television, stereos and sound equipment, a passenger carry-on baggage holding area, upgraded WiFi / internet facilities as well as snacks and beverages.

THAIs Royal Silk Lounge serves THAIs Business Class passengers, Royal Orchid Plus Gold Card members, Star Alliance Gold Card members, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Airlines premium Class passengers.

Mrs. Wanporn Wibooncharoenkitja, THAIs Managing Director, Ground Customer Services Department, said THAI always places great importance on providing services to passengers that extend maximum convenience and greater comfort. With the relaunch of THAIs Royal Silk Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, passengers can enjoy the facilities, products, and services offered in the lounge, where they can relax or work, based on their travel requirements.

Currently, THAI operates three daily direct flights between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, utilizing Boeing 777-200 aircraft, capable of accommodating 30 Business Class and 279 Economy Class passengers and Airbus 330-300 aircraft, capable of accommodating 42 Business Class and 263 Economy Class passengers.
