After graduating from the prestigious Hotel Management School of Lausanne, Ippersiel started his career at hospitality’s front line in major hotel chains in Lausanne, Hong Kong and Singapore. . His first management role was in Shangri-La Singapore as an Operations Analyst, where he was involved in special projects in improving service standards. Ippersiel has since been involved in various sales and management roles in Banyan Tree Phuket, JW Marriott in Dubai, Renaissance Dubai and Marriott International’s chain of hotels in the Western European region.

Mr. Ippersiel said, “It is wonderful to be back in Thailand, and especially to be part of the team of such an inspiring resort. The Indigo Pearl is unique in its concepts and design but it has also managed to keep a traditional Thai flair to it. No wonder it is already received many accredited awards after such a short period of time.

With the current worldwide situation we all have to put our efforts together to drive more traffic to Thailand, and distinctive destination resorts such as Indigo Pearl help establish Phuket as one of the leading tourism destinations in the world. I very much look forward to working closely with everyone in the resort and to take it to the next level.”
