Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Monday, 15 September 2008

The SALA Phuket has opened its new spa. The 1,200 sqm SALA Spa is nestled within a tropical Chinese water garden providing a sense of relaxation, as masterminded by the multi-award winning designer Pakorn Mahapant (from Thailands Department of Architecture), who was given the prominent Architectural of Siamese Association award for the stunning concept.

Guests can choose from one of the five luxurious treatment rooms each with a private garden and relaxation area, or venture outside to a beachside sala for open-air pampering.

The extensive spa menu features a broad range of both classic and contemporary treatments, from massages, facials, scrubs and wraps to traditional beauty treatments.

The ultimate indulgence is a three-day SALA Lifestyle Journey, combining therapies and treatments to stimulate, rejuvenate and detoxify the body, release tension, revive skin cells and improve circulation, priced at 12,200 Baht.

Located in national parkland along 9km of pristine Mai Khao beach, the SALA Phuket Resort is a five-star resort with 79 luxurious villas and suites, 63 with their own private pools. Features include two large beachfront swimming pools, a stylish beachfront restaurant, lobby bar and beach bar with oversized day beds for guests to watch the sunset over cocktails. Additional amenities include a library, gift shop, meeting room facilities and activities desk.
