The
Crowne Plaza Dubai recently appointed Laurent Rigaud as General Manager.
Mr. Laurent has
a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. His career started when he joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1985, in the
food and beverage department at the InterContinental London. He was transferred to InterContinental Sydney in 1988,as the restaurant
manager.
In 1991 he left IHG to broaden his horizon at the award winning
Treasury restaurant in Hong Kong, Taiwan and The Philippines. In 1999 he
rejoined IHG as Food and Beverage Manager at the InterContinental Phoenicia in Lebanon.
He was then promoted to Resident Manager at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi and to General Manager of the Holiday Inn in Downtown
Kuwait in 2005.
His predecessor, Mr. Pascal Gauvin, was recently promoted to VP Operations UAE & Qatar, Middle East & Africa. He has been an
ambassador for IHG since 1981.
