Ascott International Thailand appoints New Country GM and DOSM

Ascott International, a leading international serviced residence operator, has appointed a new Country General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing in Thailand.

Mr Eddie Lim takes over as Country General Manager Thailand, replacing Mr Henry Lim who is now Ascott Internationals Country General Manager based in Vietnam. Ms Sylvia Tan replaces Jacinta Teo as Director of Sales and Marketing Thailand. 

Eddie who was previously Ascott Internationals Country General Manager in Japan will oversee the whole aspect of management of all Ascott, Somerset and Citadines properties in Thailand including operation, finance, sales and marketing and business development.

Eddie has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined The Ascott Group in 1996 and has taken various top-level positions in the companys operations in Asia including China, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Sylvia will be responsible for accelerating sales performance and overseeing marketing initiatives for all of Ascott Internationals properties in Thailand. These include four existing properties - Ascott Bangkok Sathorn, Citadines Sukhumvit 16, Somerset Lake Point and Somerset Park Suanplu, as well as four new properties opening this year - Somerset Amar Garden and three Citadines properties - Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 8, Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 and Citadines Sukhumvit 23.

With strong background in hospitality sales for almost 15 years, Sylvia has held prior positions in many leading hospitality companies such as InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Swissotel Merchant Court and Park Royal Serviced Residences.
