The U Chiang Mai, a new deluxe 4 star hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has launched a special promotion exclusively for members of the travel industry.

The travel trade promotion, which includes breakfast, is priced at THB 1,999 nett for a Superior Room and THB 2,999 for a Deluxe room. The promotion is per room per night and is valid between 1 June 2008 and 30 September 2008.

The U Chiang Mai hotel offers 41 luxurious rooms, decorated to the highest standard providing all the necessities that the modern traveler requires.

U Chiang Mai offers a dining room service which allows guests to enjoy innovative cuisine in the comfort of their rooms. The complimentary breakfast "whenever/wherever" is also available at all times of the day in any location of the hotel.

The former residence of Chiang Mai’s governor has been skillfully converted into the Resident’s Lounge with the original Chiang Mai architectural style being combined with a modern Thai accent. The Reading Room provides a further opportunity for relaxation with its extensive collection of Chiang Mai’s history and literature.

The hotel's U Choose programme allows guests the freedom to select their choice of pillow, soap, tea selection, mini-bar, iPod music and DVD selection prior to arrival. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Guests who would like a personalized and unique experience can participate in local community activities, weekly heritage talks and guided walks.

The hotel's fitness facilities include a fully equipped gym providing a total workout solution for guests wanting to unwind and maintain their fitness levels, the "fitness together" programme. There are also complimentary bicycles to help guests explore the local environment.

At the U Spa in Chiang Mai, massage therapies embrace the most effective Asian and European styles of massage, including Swedish and Thai. Healing hands combined with north Thai aromatic oils loosen tight muscles, improve circulation and promote an all round sense of well being.

The U Chiang Mai is only a few minutes away from the city’s famous walking streets such as the well-known shopping area of Tha Phae Road. Many major temples are within walking distance of our hotel such as Wat Chedi Luang, a must see for visitors to Chiang Mai and Wat Phra Sing, famous for its fine examples of Lanna art.
