Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Friday, 14 March 2008

Mantra Hotels Resorts and Apartments has expanded its presence in New South Wales' key holiday destinations with the launch of a premium resort on the Wollongong beachfront.

Welcoming its first guests from August 2008, Mantra City Beach Wollongong will offer 168 stylish rooms, signature restaurant, bar, café and first class conferencing facilities for up to 350 delegates.

The addition of Mantra City Beach boosts Mantra's portfolio to over 50 premium hotels, resorts and apartments conveniently located in the heart of all major CBD, metropolitan and regional centres as well as Australia's most desirable visitor destinations.

Mantra Executive General Manager Tomas Johnsson said the property would rank as one of the most outstanding holiday experiences on the New South Wales coast.

"Strategically located just 60 minutes south of Sydney and about two and a half hours north east of Canberra, Mantra City Beach offers an ideal haven for a short break or extended stay in this sought-after coastal destination,'' he said.

Reflecting Mantra's philosophy of providing premium 4 to 4.5 star holidays in Australia's favourite locations, the resort offers 11 levels of accommodation with regional, city or ocean views.

Designed for leisure travellers and corporate guests alike, Mantra City Beach will feature a day spa, swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, 24 hour reception, concierge service, business centre, in-room high-speed internet access and room service.

Situated adjacent to the Wollongong Golf Course, the property is perfectly placed for enjoying the best the city has to offer with the WIN Sports and Entertainment Centre, CBD, surf and swimming beaches, cultural attractions and more within easy reach.
