AIME’s Early Bird Registration for industry professionals applying to be fully hosted to the Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo in Melbourne on 17 and 18 February 2009, is to close on 17 October. All buyers who register and qualify for AIME 2009 by this date will also receive a special gift as a bonus from AIME.

“All buyers who qualify for the program and reside outside Melbourne or Victoria will receive airfares, accommodation, airport transfers, entry to AIME 2009, entry to the Business Events Forum, a special Master Class and the AIME Welcome Reception,” said Acting Event Director, Elizabeth Sarian. “Buyers who live within Victoria can apply for the program and will receive all benefits except airfares and accommodation.”

Qualified buyers also receive a schedule of appointments with exhibitors they most wish to meet and have an exclusive opportunity to participate in the pre-touring program organised by Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau. The program showcases some of Melbourne and regional Victoria’s unique experiences. In addition, post touring options are available to nine other Australian cities or regional areas.

In order to qualify to attend AIME 2009 all prospective hosted buyers are asked a series of questions regarding their company, level of responsibility, type of events they organise, number and size of events, budget and in which geographical areas they intend to place business. They are also asked to provide details on previous and future events in the Asia Pacific region.

“We give preference to new buyers with business to place in the region. We also ensure that buyers with verified business to place in the region on an ongoing basis are considered for hosting, even if they have been hosted the year prior,” added Elizabeth Sarian.

AIME 2009 will be held on 17 and 18 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia.
