Prestige Hotels, which represents 73 luxury hotels in over 17 countries, was praised for their ‘great modern design’ by the judges through the use of plasma screens to illustrate what they do. The judges also cited the clever use of small stand space and said the stand was ‘eye-catching and colourful with good use of lighting’.

The criteria for this award included having an eye-catching, unusual and creative design, best use of space, being inviting for visitors and having an outstanding presence. The Tourism Authority of Thailand took Best Stand Feature for their ‘great reception area with a wonderful floral display’. Judges also liked the great signage with excellent use of graphics. The overall effect was to show Thailand in all its glory as a truly amazing holiday destination.

This award had to meet the criteria of having an impactful stand, good use of eye-catching features to capture cultural characteristics and encourage visitors to the stand. The great layout of the stand was cited by the judges as helping towards the focus on the b2b idea behind the event. Also praised was the very clean presentation of the stand, its proactive staff and the fact that judges wanted to get more information about Slovenia and how to get a holiday booked there.

Creating a busy b2b atmosphere was top of the list of the criteria for this award, as well as having a well planned and well thought out stand layout with good presentation of the stand and its services. Slovenia describes itself as a green country that lies between the Alps, the Mediterranean and the Pannonian plain, reflecting the diversity of Europe.

Gullivers Travel Associates were awarded Best Stand for Interacting with Travel Agents for their ‘welcoming and colourful stand’, and for handing out small octopuses to complement their theme.
