Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Monday, 11 August 2008

Hertz UAE has teamed up with the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to provide a range of attractive discounts and benefits for the bank’s platinum and gold credit cardholders.

Platinum cardholders have exclusive access to the Hertz Gold Scheme, providing fast car rental service and a range of other benefits at over 40 airports in 23 countries across four continents. The gold service allows customers to collect their car immediately from a participating airport’s weather-protected Hertz #1 Club Gold rental area, without any queuing or paperwork.

Platinum and gold credit cardholders are entitled to a double upgrade on car rentals in the UAE on a selected group of cars and 4X4s. Cardholders will also receive a 10% discount on pre-paid international reservation rates, at Hertz outlets anywhere in the world.

Nigel Johnson, General Manager of Hertz UAE said, “We are delighted to team up with ADCB to offer discounts and special benefits to platinum and gold credit cardholders. The partnership, which runs until 31 December 2008, extends our Gold Scheme benefits and excellent service to a wider range of customers.”

Hertz is also providing a special summer discount at the new Dubai Festival City branch, located within the mall next to Japengo Café, Crabtree & Evelyn and Hiedard Coffee Shop. To celebrate the recent branch opening, Hertz has cut its rates by 10% on flexi monthly rental packages for a selected group of cars, over the summer period.

The Festival City branch is the 14th location for Hertz in the Emirates, adding to outlets in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah. The company recently celebrated 15 years in the UAE and plans to launch a new branch in Al Ain this year.
