Abdo S. Kayali joins Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai as New Director of Sales and Marketing

Abdo Kayali has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai. Kayali has over 18 years of industry experience mainly in the Middle East and Africa. The Syrian national gained his education in the UK at Cavendish College, London, and an EMBA from MIC Management Institute of Canada before working his way up the sales ladder from Sales Executive to Director of Sales & Marketing, in various prestigious hotels such as Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Kayali took on his first Middle East assignment with Sheraton Jeddah Hotels & Villas as Director of Sales and then used his experience to introduce the Sheraton brand to the Algerian market as Director of Sales and Marketing. Kayali’s career path and ambition has seen him develop in his role and has taken him across the region including Kuwait, before sending him to the United Arab Emirates as Director of Business Development for the Emirates Palace Kempinski Hotel. For the past two years Kayali took a break from the hotel industry to launch and develop a new luxury brand into the GCC market as a Business Development Manager for OZCO holding company.

Kayali is a dynamic individual who apart from an eclectic resume of properties has also taught Hotels & Tourism programmes at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and speaks fluent English, Arabic and French.
