United Airlines offers Additional Baggage Allowance to Students in Hong Kong

United Airlines is offering additional baggage allowance for students travelling from Hong Kong to the U.S. or Canada for education. Until February 6, 2009, students who purchase qualified tickets from Uniteds Hong Kong website are eligible to enjoy an addition allowance of three pieces of baggage.

To qualify for this offer, students must purchase a ticket from unitedairlines.com.hk and then submit their proof of student status with their e-confirmation number and date of departure to Uniteds reservations centre by fax at +852-3129-2433.

Students must also confirm their request by calling Uniteds reservation centre at +852-2810-4888 during business hours at least 48 hours before departure.

The offer is valid on Economy Class (Y, B, M, H, Q or V booking classes) for flight UA862 only. Outbound travel must be completed before 6 February, 2009. The weight and the size of the additional checked baggage are limited to 23kg and 158 linear cm.

United currently operates daily nonstop services between Hong Kong and four destinations, including Chicago, San Francisco, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City.
