Diethelm Travel Group (DTG) has made the following senior management appointments.

Effective 1 December 2008, Himmat Anand, who has over 25 years of cross functional management experience in the inbound tourism industry in India, will take over as Managing Director Diethelm Travel India (DTI).

Having spent most of his career with SITA Travel, he also worked for 10 years in Germany, the United Kingdom and France promoting India as a tourist destination. His last position was as Chief Operating Officer, India & South Asia, Kuoni Destination Management.

"I am delighted to be part of a brand as strong as Diethelm Travel and look forward to using my experience in establishing it as a leading name in India. The company already has a close association with tour operators world-wide and we will work towards building that relationship in India by focusing on caring and attentive service" said Anand.

Current Managing Director DTI, Lilli Saxer, will move to the position of Managing Director Diethelm Travel Vietnam (DTV) effective 1 April 2009, after a handover period with Himmat and completion of a number of corporate projects.

"Lilli has devoted the last two years in setting up and establishing our India operation from scratch" said DTG COO, Richard Brouwer. "She has done a superb job and we thank her for this and look forward to her stewardship of our highly successful Vietnam business."

Grégoire Imberty will move from his current position as Managing Director DTV, to become Sales Director DTG, based in Bangkok.

DTG CEO, John Watson, said, "The inbound market in certain destinations have been hit hard of late for a number of factors, whether they be political or fuel-price related, nature or global economy related. We have determined that this is the time to invest in our business for the future. These three key appointments will position us to take advantage of the upswing that will undoubtedly occur."
