WhiteSand Consulting has joined the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research as a partner. As part of the center’s partnership program, WhiteSand’s managing director, Saverio Scheri III, will become a member of the center’s advisory board and participate in the review process for the Cornell Hospitality Reports series, published by the center.

“With its ambitious research agenda, Cornell’s Center for Hospitality Research provides a tremendous service to the industry,” said Scheri. “We are happy to support this effort.”

Launched in 2001, WhiteSand Consulting has assembled a team of experienced consultants from all aspects of the gaming and hospitality industries, including design and development, resort and casino operations, technology, marketing, research, food & beverage and entertainment. This diverse experience, with companies such as MGM Mirage, Borgata, Mohegan Sun, Wynn Las Vegas, Harrah's Entertainment, Boyd Gaming, and others, has allowed WhiteSand to develop innovative approaches to industry challenges. WhiteSand Consulting is the creator and co-producer of the Gaming Technology Summit held annually in Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled that WhiteSand Consulting has joined the center’s partner program, given their strong connections with the gaming industry,” noted David Sherwyn, academic director of the center. “I look forward to working with Saverio Scheri.”

A unit of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, The Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) sponsors research designed to improve practices in the hospitality industry. Under the lead of the center’s 61 corporate affiliates, experienced scholars work closely with business executives to discover new insights into strategic, managerial and operating practices. The center also publishes the award-winning hospitality journal, the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly (formerly the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly).
