Angkor Airways expands Worldwide Distribution with Amadeus

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 6 June 2007

Angkor Airways’ fares and inventory information are now available on Amadeus' booking system. Working with up to 84,000 travel agents, the Amadeus system will provide Angkor Airways with a significant expansion on its current distribution network.

“Established in 2004, Angkor Airways is still relatively new in the airline business. As such, it is important for us to continue exploring new means to widen our existing distribution network,” said Mr. Brian Lee, President of Angkor Airways. “Amadeus’ extensive network became a natural choice to help increase our competitiveness. Complementing our growth strategy, the move will help further consolidate our position in the market both regionally and globally.”

Under the agreement, Angkor Airways will now provide full fare content to travel agencies via the Amadeus system. Travel agencies will therefore be able to make real-time bookings and transactions, and enjoy enhanced sales efficiency as a result.

Angkor Airways currently flies to major Asian cities like Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kunming, Chengdu, Wuhan, Tokyo, Taipei and Kaohsiung.
