Travel News Asia Friday, 6 April 2007

Rydges World Square (formerly the Avillion Hotel), in the heart of Sydney’s central business district, has launched a special day rate of just A$62 for conference delegates in groups of 15 or more, available throughout April, June and July.

The discounted day rate represents a saving of A$120 for a group of 15 delegates. It includes room hire, tea and coffee on arrival, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and a standard conference package including a screen, whiteboard and flipchart.

Audio visual equipment can be arranged by the hotel if required, and there is a choice of four secure meeting rooms, including boardrooms.

As well, for resident conferences at the hotel, there is a reduced accommodation rate of A$194 per night, room only, for conference delegates.

The 445-room Rydges World Square is located at the corner of Pitt and Liverpool Streets, above the World Square shopping precinct.

It is well positioned for guests travelling to and from Sydney Airport, is close to Central, Town Hall and Museum Railway Stations, and has at its doorstep the World Square monorail station, providing guests with fast access to the CBD, Darling Harbour and venues including the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Star City Casino and Cockle Bay Wharf. The hotel is also close to city buses in nearby George Street.

For guests, facilities within Rydges World Square include a 120 square metre fitness centre and broadband internet access in the majority of rooms.
