Tiger Airways to launch Daily Flights to Darwin

Tiger Airways and Tourism NT today launched a new joint online campaign called “My Darwin Discoveries”. Using the internet as a digital platform to show case Northern Territory destinations and attractions, “My Darwin Discoveries” aims to deliver an engaging and educational experience to each visitor with its informative and interactive features. With the online contest, participants stand a chance to win Tiger Airways holidays to the Northern Territory for a chance to experience the Top End personally.

Participants will stand a chance to win a full travel package for two persons to Darwin on Tiger Airways flights, with Mirambeena Travelodge hotel stays, APT and AAT Kings tours to the Top End worth more than Sin$2,000 per winner or a total of Sin$40,000 worth of prizes. “My Darwin Discoveries” runs from 5 November 2007 and ends 2 December 2007 and is open to participants in China, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand.

The online campaign leads up to Tiger Airways launch of its daily services between Singapore and Darwin starting from 1 December 2007. Tiger Airways first launched services to Darwin in 2005 with four flights per week.

Tiger Airways Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer Rosalynn Tay said, “Tiger Airways is delighted at the continued success of the Darwin route. Darwin was the first Australian point in Tiger Airways network and has grown from 4 flights a week to a daily service from 1 December 2007. The increased frequencies will facilitate more convenient travel with Tiger Airways Flight Combo. Passengers from China, Vietnam and Thailand can fly to Singapore and on to Darwin all on Tiger Airways low, low Flight ComboTM fares. Travel to Australia has is now so affordable and more convenient.”
