China Southern Airlines gets Exclusive Use of Terminal One at Xianyang Airport

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Thursday, 4 October 2007

China Southern Airlines has signed an agreement to acquire the exclusive use of Terminal One at Xianyang International Airport.

The deal marks the second all-China Southern airport terminal outside of the airline’s worldwide home at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou – as China Southern has full flight operations at Terminal One at Beijing Capital International Airport.

Located some 30 kilometers from downtown Xi’an, the brand new Terminal One at Xi’an’s Xianyang International Airport officially opened to the public on September 12.

Passengers can now take China Southern flights and flights operated by the airline’s subsidiary carriers exclusively from Terminal One.

As all China Southern Airlines’ flights have moved to the new terminal, and airport officials expect the new terminal to significantly alleviate passenger congestion at the current Terminal Two.
