Wine & Gourmet Asia 2007, a new trade, networking and culinary platform showcasing the very best of Asia Pacific’s fine wine, gourmet and hospitality industry, is to be staged at The Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Center at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel and various luxury hotels such as Crown Macau and Wynn Macau from 6-10 November 2007. The event is organized by Koelnmesse, organizer of one of the world’s largest food trade shows, ANUGA, and is supported by the Macau Government Tourist Office.

Wine & Gourmet Asia 2007 comprises a 3-day trade fair in conjunction with a 5-day program of world-class gastronomic events, including a series of gourmet dinners, culinary and wine masterclasses, and a Gala Dinner. Renowned chefs Justin North from Bécasse in Sydney, Grant MacPherson from Wynn Las Vegas, Kristoffer Luczak from Crown Macau and Pete  Find of Wynn Macau will present their signature creations for the pleasure of gourmands, and wine lovers can delight in the premium wines of Château Cos d’EStournel.

From 7-9 November, the 3-day trade fair for the region’s hospitality industry leaders will feature 200 exhibiting companies and is expected to attract around 1,000 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors.

Value-added attractions for exhibitors and trade visitors include forums on the latest hospitality trends, hospitality awards and an exclusive "behind the scenes“ guided tour of The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.

The trade fair will showcase the full spectrum of hospitality industry products from wine and gourmet food to hotel and food service equipment, plus suppliers and service providers.

Participants include some of the biggest ‘movers and shakers’ in the Asia Pacific food and beverage industry, and the hospitality trade. These include F&B professionals from the hotel, tourism and leisure industry; chefs and sommeliers from hotels, restaurants and food outlets in the tourism sector; fine food and wine importers, distributors and wholesalers; local and Asian gourmet marts; and wine appreciators/enthusiasts.

Mr. Joao Manuel Costa Antunes, Director, Macau Government Tourist Office said, “Macau Government Tourist Office is pleased to give our support to Wine & Gourmet Asia which is in line with our mission to integrate new tourism elements to raise Macau’s profile as Asia’s most popular and quality destination for leisure, entertainment and MICE.”

“Wine & Gourmet Asia will play an important lead in building up Macau’s exhibition and convention industry. The fair is incorporated as one of the official food programs in Macau’s calendar of events, showcasing high-end food products.”
